The Hotel Phoenix is rated as two star accomodation. Is is has good sentral location with an unasuming exterior - inside you can look forward to wonderfull accomodation and truly five star service - the owners of the phoenix have a fantastic attention to detail - from the the immaculate rooms - the mint on your bed - every night - the weather reports and local info printed every day on your breakfast table. The owners where also really helpfull in giving us tips for what to do - they helped with arranging excursions - and made recomendations and helped with booking resturants. This is a wonderfull place to stay with proffessional, warm and freindly owners. We spoke to other tourists staying in more expensive accomodation who gaped in envy when we told of our experience at the hotel.
sorry cant think of anything :)

The staff was very nice and friendly. They gave great tips and helped organize some trips.
The location is ok but not very central. It is very easy to be found and close to the main road though.

Phoenix Hotel is such a gem! The cozy vibe, friendly owners, and amazing breakfast had me smiling every morning. My room was super comfy with a luxurious bed. A bit of a hiccup at check-in, but it didn't ruin my stay at all! Highly recommended!

In relation to the good price paid, it was intimate place to stay with very good service. The hotel had a quiet atmosphere and extremely helpful staff, I felt cosy. Stayed in a nice size king room in olde world style...

We had a lovely stay in this quiet small hotel. It is an easy walk to the centre and the location is a huge bonus being far enough away from the downtown weekend bar noise (we have experienced many a sleepless night in more central Reykjavik hotels). Room and bed very comfortable and the hosts were especially friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning for another visit.

A lovely, cozy atmosphere paired with super clean rooms. The good turn-down service, complete with a chocolate on the pillow each night, added a special touch. The location is superb, just a minute's walk from bus tour pickups, while the breakfast offerings-especially the delicious Swiss cheese-were a highlight. Despite this, the personal service from the owners was nice.

The hotel is close to the waterfront promenade, perfect for evening strolls. The managers were friendly and provided great recommendations for family-friendly restaurants. They offered useful tips on local attractions .
My wife says that the strict check-in policy was exhausting for the kids.
